Sourceful Website

Introduction

The Sourceful marketing website was my first full project designed and built using Claude Code - and it shipped in under three weeks. A equivalent project scoped through traditional agency or in-house workflows would comfortably take three to six months.

This wasn't just a marketing site. It's a multilingual, accessibility-first platform with integrated e-commerce, automated content pipelines, and a CI/CD workflow built entirely through AI-assisted development. I designed and built it end-to-end: brand expression, UX, front-end engineering, third-party integrations, and deployment infrastructure.

The site serves multiple audiences - homeowners exploring vehicle-to-grid for the first time, professional installers evaluating the Sourceful Zap, and investors assessing the company's positioning - across desktop and mobile, in both English and Swedish. Every decision was filtered through the question: does this earn trust and move someone closer to action?

Challenges

The biggest challenge wasn't any single feature - it was the sheer breadth of what needed to ship simultaneously, with a team of one.

E-commerce integration required embedding Shopify's add-to-basket and side drawer flows directly into a custom Next.js build, maintaining brand consistency without inheriting Shopify's default UI opinions. Forms needed to feed into Formspark, Slack, and Notion simultaneously - replacing HubSpot entirely and saving the company significant monthly overhead while creating tighter internal workflows.

Accessibility wasn't an afterthought bolted on at the end. I built support for dyslexia-friendly fonts, colour blindness modes covering deuteranopia, protanopia, tritanopia, and achromatopsia - all persisted in the browser and switchable at any time. Combined with full dark and light mode theming, this pushed the site well beyond compliance and into genuine inclusive design territory.

For content, I built an automated blog generation pipeline using OpenClaw, with Notion as the editorial layer and Slack as the review channel. Approved posts publish to the site and auto-post to X - removing manual bottleneck from content operations entirely. Tracking was comprehensive from day one: Meta, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Reddit, and X event tags all wired in for attribution.

The less visible challenge was learning to work effectively with Claude Code itself - developing detailed prompts, configuring MCPs and skills, and building a reliable CI workflow through GitHub and Vercel that I could trust to deploy without babysitting. That learning curve paid for itself many times over in velocity.
